Amur snowpard

Emotions

Spot Block

Sometimes I hit a hard artblock, and I find myself sketching anything and everything especially with some insane pattern involved.  Often times Spotted felines find themselves to be suitable "SpotBlocks".  That is to say the unusual patterns their pelts have help to unblock...well my art block. 

Here a lovely Ocelot female in a very rough sketch format as I figure out placement, basic lighting and over all figure.  I referenced several Ocelot photos for this and later added some hair.  This will be a painting exercise.

Hidden Lagoon Concept

I do most all my sketchworks in Photoshop to lay out concepts and ideas, and create a visual for myself of how I want the piece to look and feel.  Below is an example of this, I have hashed out the rough colorations, mood, atmosphere and general lighting I want this particular piece to have.

As always this is subject to change as placing things on canvas to paint often results in sometimes drastic changes.

Business Card Solution

I really wanted to do something that just was a ton of fun, not that I don't already have fun while painting, but I think I wanted to do something completely different way, I have been visualizing painting this for a couple days even though I didn't know exactly what it was until today.

I started sketching with a logo in mind but it quickly evolved into a business card sketch.   I settled on my signature is my logo :3

One Bindi M. Swagtail, I am deciding if I should add in a feral as well but I don't feel it to be nessicary at this point.

Thinking Spring

Thinking spring and a bizarre challenge I saw on DA has inspired this interesting pair of Robbits (Rabbit /Robin hybrids)  Found on Crikey Isles! They come in a variety of colors and variations but the main colouration's will be revealed soon enough.  This is my warm up piece to play with lighting and color values.
