Hidden Lagoon Concept

I do most all my sketchworks in Photoshop to lay out concepts and ideas, and create a visual for myself of how I want the piece to look and feel.  Below is an example of this, I have hashed out the rough colorations, mood, atmosphere and general lighting I want this particular piece to have.

As always this is subject to change as placing things on canvas to paint often results in sometimes drastic changes.
